Touring The Golden Nugget On Hunt's Pier With French Louie.
The Golden Nugget ride was built on the Wildwood Boardwalk’s Hunt’s Pier on the newly constructed ocean side of the pier and originally opened in July of 1960 as a three-story rollercoaster / dark ride. The ride was engineered by John Allen and constructed by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. The Moreys have proposed a huge custom roller coaster that will start on Morey's Pier, span the beach from Morey's Pier to Hunt's Pier, and encompass most of Hunt's Pier including the former location of the Golden Nugget. The ride will also include a dark section under Morey's Pier.
